Event: Scrap4Tress²



  • Since the original Scrap4Tress was such a Success in the Saturday Scramble Event, Me and ReXeN have decided to host it again, this time with new Courses and with a more organised system.

    This time there will be 2 Courses, the following:

    Trap Town:

    • More Horizontal, Straightforward

    • Has More User-Triggable traps than the Classic Yard

    • More obstacles to make the player feel Claustrophobic

    Classic Yard:

    • Based on the original ScrapYard from the original Scrap4Tress event

    • More space to make the Player move freely

    • Hiding Spots for the Survivors

    The rules have been revised, Here’s the list of the rules:

    • 4 Players are randomly chosen and they are placed in the fort.

    • These 4 Players are given guns and ammo is scattered.

    • The 4 players must try to survive for the longest amount of time in the fortress.

    • Spectators are given fists and they must enter and kill the 4 players.

    • Traps have also been added and breakable entrances are included.

    • Each ScrapYard will be played 2 times, Resulting in 8 Survivors per ScrapYard

    • The Group that survives the most time in it’s respective Scrapyard wins a “Won Contest” Award and possibly Silver, Spectators who kill survivors will recieve a Gold Star, So In theory, 24 People(!) Will recieve awards in this event

    The event will be held Today, at 6PM GMT

  • I’m inclined to agree. I’d prefer you have more original events. Try some not on sandbox or better ones like robot wars.

  • One thing to keep in mind is that hl2dm based events are the most accessible to the community. With robot wars for example, you have to go through the process of making and testing a robot, then go through the painfully laggy process of battling. With this event, all you have to do is show up and you immediately have something to do to keep you engaged. With robot wars, there is a lot of sitting out and watching other people battle.



  • Here’s an idea, interactive story telling level.

    Players start at a base and are faced with diverging choices of what to do to survive a zombie apocalypse.  Extreme fall damage, extra damage from npcs, all that.  Each choice then teleports them to the next area, facing the choice they made.  We all start in an office.  We can choose to help a woman on the ground fighting off a zombie, we click that red button.  NPC rag-doll is spawned with an NPC fast zombie.Teleport into office hallway, barricaded in tightly on all sides and your door is shut squarely behind you.  No escaping your doom, especially as the rag-doll’d woman now gets up as a regular zombie to kill you.  Other players who didn’t make that choice scoot down the hallway with windows facing you as you die.

    You can come up with more choices, it culminates in a vehicle section between vehicle types and a final battle escaping all the human zombies that have been made through the event.  One bite and you’re screwed.
