[RELEASED] gm_noxgrass (with land arena & beach)

    Changes by Zinco
    -Made the map as big as the entire grid.

    • Made arena 1.5 times bigger
    • Redid spawn points (copied from gm_ultimate_hill)
    • Revamped the maps lighting, skybox, and atmosphere (cs_militia)
    • Added Cheap water
    • Replaced shitty default sand and grass texture with AlexG ones
    • Got rid of the sound the teleporter makes.
    • Created an admin booth for the arena that toggles soccer fields, a flood, a volleyball fence, and closing hurt walls.

    • Made it so the water area is like a beach and not just a straight drop in to a concrete pool.

  • Needs to have more build space.  That was the main problem with the map to begin with.  The robot arena’s kind of small too.



  • Make the arena bigger

    If possible make a underground area



  • Underground area as in some kind of station, not a gimmicky cave



  • No underground areas or secrets.
    Make the map as big as the entire grid.
    Arena should be larger than it is now and also not be so close to the spawn or over the water.
    No HDR. Just have it with a good amount of warm sun lighting.
    Cheap water.
    Compile with the hacked VBSP that uses super large vis leafs.
    Make it so the water area is like a beach and not just a straight drop in to a concrete pool.
    The “sand” texture used right now looks more like mud.
    Keep the player clips. But only PLAYER clips, not physics or invisible brushes.
    Get rid of the sound the teleporter makes.

    Make the arena modular with an admin booth. Have buttons for turning certain things on or off. They should be off by default. Have some kind of floor design.

    • func_analog_water on/off

    • Goal posts on/off

    • Closed func_doors on each side that damage on block.

    • Whatever else you can think of.



  • The map right now sucks real bad.

    The sky box does not line up with its sides.

    The arena would look really ugly on land BTW.

    Because everyone wants a new sandbox map because they want something pretty to look at, not something functionally better, right?

  • You should use construct grass for the ground. The beach looks bad, why are there tiles then sand?
