Make voteban easier to suceed.

  • On two seperate instances the other day a voteban was needed, and everyon know it was needed, and it still failed.

The first some guy had spammed about 50 of our props in a big fail wall with slots in it where enemies could just walk right through and weren’t stopped at all.
The guy who made it even admitted it was just to waste props, but not enough people were smart enough to know where the r key on their keyboard was to voteremove the props, and even less had the intelligence to type the 8 digits making up “/voteban”.
So the wall stayed, the guy didn’t get banned, and our team got raped due to having a very minimal base.

The second occasion the map was Castlewars and we were playing HTF.
The flag kept spawning right above the pit of trigger_hurt so noone could hold the flag longer than about a half second.
It would have been possible (after about an hour) to have crafters build a bridge to the flag spawn to allow it to be taken by someone, ANYone.
But no, there is always a worm in the apple, a person named “<3” kept intentionally destroying the bridge and targetting the crafters even though everyone knew the match would never end until it was built.
I started a voteban on <3, and, naturally, it failed.
Even though everyone in the server with the rudimentary intelligence to know what was going on voted we still needed like 10 more votes.(the server was full at the time)

As you can see the average person can’t be arsed or lacks the intelligence to type /voteban and click a name, therefore, a voteban NEVER suceeds.

This needs fixed, hope I wasn’t too long winded for ya.

  • Voteban doesn’t work, period.

It’ll say it succeeds, but nothing happens.

  • Hmm, needs fixed even more then.

  • just use votekick, its much more effective.

  • How? they could just rejoin immediately anyway.

  • :bullshit:

    It works, you’re just stupid.

  • Umm: As of ZS, about 3 days ago. It says

“The voteban has succeeded”, but the idiot we just votebanned is still happily on the server.

  • yes

  • Awhile ago a voteban actually worked, and it kicked him but he came back. Apparently I’m stupid.
