[ZS] Traps and trap accessories



  • Well, we have lots of explosives that deal damage and no simple bear traps to stop the zombies? They could be useful at the start of the game to stop the slaughter at sigils or have a good exit path when you camp the zombies?
    SO, let me give you a set of good craftable traps(not gay):

    1.Bear trap - 90 HP

    Deals ~50 damage
    Stops a single victim in a radius of 25 until it is dead or the trap is destroyed
    Needs to be rewinded
    Also can be manually winded down to hold a prop in place(zombies can trigger it with props and flesh chunks)

    2.Siren - 50 HP

    Deals no damage
    upon triggering rings a bell or plays one of the warning sounds
    optional light when triggered
    Detection zone - sphere with a radius of 50-100

    3.Puncher - 30 HP

    A spring with a trigger and a small platform
    Spring extends upon trigging and knocks down zombies dealing ~30 damage and, if set up right way, throwing away a prop/trap on the platform.
    Needs rewind

    4.Spikes - 100 HP

    A small platform full of blades
    Deals damage based on the victim’s velocity and vector. For example, a fast zombie dashing to the spikes gets instakilled.
    Recieves 1/4 of damage dealt, can be repaired with a hammer. Can be reinforced with knifes and some sharp props, like broken planks.
    Also slows down the victims, getting constant damage.

    5.Grenade holder

    Simply activates an inserted grenade, should replace the proximity mine.

    6.Meat grinder - 150 HP
    A more powerful version of the spikes, but requires pulse ammo to work.
    Looks like an engine that has a relatively small blade on its end.
    Consumes 1 pulse per second, can work only for 10 seconds and needs 20 seconds to cool down.
    When HP below 50 requires fixing.

    Accessories:
    Brain in a jar - 15 HP
    A small placeable jar that emits the human brainwaves, making a false human trace.
    May have physics just for lulz.

    Button - 50 HP
    Just a manual trigger that overrides the usual triggers of traps.
    When destroyed, returns the connected traps to their original state.
    No connection for sound of siren.

    Winding mechanism - 50 HP
    Uses pulse ammo to slowly wind up traps that require it.

    Wrench functionality extended
    To fix a trap use the wrench as you are used to. To wind up a trap FASTER than with bare hands(and without a chance to trigger it) just use the RMB.

    RELATED CRAFTS:

    Light bulb - emits light, can be taken from the siren. Can be added to wepon to get brighter flashlight.

    Horn - emits sound, is a SWEP, can be taken from siren. Can be added to melee for funny hit sound.

    HONK.

    Unbearable axe - SWEP made with a combination of a bear trap and an axe, has an increased chance to dismember a zombie and the lowest attack speed.

    great idea that way well know when zombies are in the game thank you for improving the community with all your awesome suggestions i can twait until they added
