[ZS] "Scattershot" Coach Double Barrel Shotgun

  • “Scattershot” Coach Double Barrel Shotgun

A Double Barrel shotgun that is intended to be a tier 3. (Can be changed as Jet seems fit.)

Primary fire: Both shells fired at once.

Secondary fire : One shell fired.

    Killicon:

Stats (Again, these can be changed as Jet seems fit.)
    Damage per pellet : 9
Pellets per shot : 12 (24 for both shells at once.)
    Primary / Secondary Cooldown : 0.15
Reload : 2.25 seconds per shell.
Damage : Double is 216 damage per bodyshot, 432 damage per headshot (if all pellets hit.) Single is 108 damage per bodyshot, 216 damage per headshot.
Vision Knockback : Medium when shooting one shell, high when shooting both
Accuracy : Terrible when moving, ok when standing still, above average when crouching.

    _
The strengths and weaknesses of the gun:_

A point-efficient weapon that can be used outside or when zombies are hoarding around the barricade.

Cannot fire both shells if one has already been used (duh.)

Ok damage for a tier 3, mostly used to gain points since it uses very little ammo.

Takes a long time to reload compared to any other weapon.

  • I don’t agree with the usage of the name Scattershot as an alias for this weapon. Scattershot indicates the effect of shotguns sure, but there are much better names for a double barrel shotgun. Scattershot is also used as a name for a multishot unique shotgun in Halo 4 and Halo 5 Guardians, with interesting weapon animations. Team Fortress 2 has a Scattergun, and I think it’s named appropriately.

Scattershots can be considered a slang term, however there is a bit of redundancy in calling it scattershot as it’s simply a different term for a shotgun.

The initial appearance seems fair, however the mechanics, animation and sound of this scripted weapon don’t make any sense. The reload animation is the same as the anabelle and it is nonsensical. The sound doesn’t fit as the double fire seems far too powerful, and the single fire is already used for the ender; both are quite different from each other. As for the mechanics, ideally primary attack would fire the first barrel and secondary attack firing the second barrel. Double mouse click for both barrels. Another option would to have primary attack fire one shot rather than two, and the secondary firing two shots.

    The killicon is good.

The videos show an unbalanced, cheap weapon. It appears to have an absurd amount of damage at 216 per bodyshot. When aimed correctly, this becomes a one-shot one-kill weapon surpassing the Hunter rifle in possible damage dealt per second, as a few pellets hitting the head is likely. Tier 3 shotguns should not have extreme ammo efficiency, this is niche is already fulfilled with the Oberon pulse shotgun. Pulse weapons are focused on ammo efficiency and utility, while this weapon only focuses on ammo efficiency.

The analysis of the statistics you gave on the shotgun aren’t quite necessary as most of what you stated should be true for most shotguns applicable to all first-person shooter games. In Zombie Survival, players may purchase the Wooism skill, which renders weapon cone fluctuation, while moving, to not be a problem.

Format your images and videos correctly so they are of uniform length. This thread format is terrible.
