[BALANCE] Invisible crouchwalking is op

  • Cast haste followed by invisibility, then hold crouch and forward. Nobody can see you, not even the auto turrets. Only homing spells have a chance of seeing you, and even then, only debuff spells like hex and anchor will actually try to home to you after you stop moving.

    • That’s a long escape time you have for an enemy spellcaster or two attacking you.

    • Assassains can move at a nigh-impossible-to-catch speed if they have haste, and combining this bug makes it easy for them to get behind enemy spawns too.

    • Dark Mages can use this to even greater effect by getting a wizard to haste and invis them, then getting into position to spam jolt at a vehicle pad. Since crafters can’t see them, this garauntees vehicle pad destruction or heavy damage.

  • Not a bug

  • Balance issue then.

Unless something changed recently, %invisibility was always a proportional function of speed. Are you saying that regardless of how fast you’re going, crouching stays at 100% invisibility?

  • Yes.

Yeah I have noticed this too and always thought that this must be one of ZC0M’s updates. Also turrets don’t shoot you anymore if you are invisible and not crouching.

Turrets don’t attack you when you’re partially visible either. As long as you have the invisible status they don’t do anything.
