Here I did a new ESO station, what do you think

  • I can post more zoomed-in pictures if people want to see specific details. Why bother you might ask? Instead of simply murdering all the prisoners every round or permabrigging pepole for no real reason, ask an ESO to bring them to the ESO station. There they can be easily secured and monitored, or just left in their cells or whatever.

The reinforced windows there are also unbreakable. Prisoners who end the round on any part of the ESO station count as not having escaped, regardless of if they’re in their cells or not.

The turrets open fire on any non-restrained, non-ESO personnel.

    Areas:

Armory: Northwest corner. Contains only a few weapons, but many useful tools. The SMES has infinite power.

Emergency Medbay: East of the Armory. Contains a cloner, some medical supplies, implants, a surgery table, and a gibber.

Cells: 5 cells (red floors), the bottom 3 have shutters that are opened via the wood-table room (the ESO lounge). This can allow the ESO to simply raise or lower the shutters to allow prisoners to head to the botany area.

Chapel: Northeast corner. Contains coffins for accidental deaths and a few tables and chairs where supervised prisoners can atone for their crimes.

Showers: Southwest corner. Has showers and a rubber ducky.

Exam Room: East of the shower. Has prisoner outfits, a laundry machine, sink, and a chest filled with various types of implants. This is the first stop all prisoners make. It’s actually smaller than I intended; remaking it I would add holding areas with cuffable chairs, etc.

Recreation: East of the Exam Room. Contains some harmless stuff to play around with, such as playing a game of B-ball. The botany area comes with a cow, 2 chicks, and all the hydroponics stuff you could want. Get those prisoners to make piles of wheat and watermelons.

ESO Lounge: Contains rechargers and a few other relaxation things, as well as a few safes, cabinets, and an all-in-one comms setup so that radios still work there. Also buttons that control all the shutters. Not pictured: Buttons that I didn’t add when I took that screenshot

Asteroid: A small attached asteroid area where prisoners can work the chain gang. Doesn’t actually need suits. Also a couple of xeno-shaped practice dummies for ESOs to shoot at.

Now doesn’t that look nicer than the current ESO shuttle? And it only took me about an hour to build, from scratch.

  • The ESO station is fine the way it is. It does the job. I recently got told that ESOs are not supposed to play ‘super security’ because catching antags is too easy as an ESO. All this stuff is unneeded.

  • looks ok but i like this one better

    <img src=“http://i41.tinypic.com/339rjwk.jpg”/>

  • it’d be nice if this was added so that people who wish to do something besides go braindead / suicide / attempt to escape perma brig can actually do something productive.

then again, everyone here seems to like the current ESO station, so meh.

  • Why is there a sub machine gun in the armory? Aren’t these usually research prototypes?
This as replacement for permabrig, yes.
As a second station for ESO only, no

Also the turrets are pretty useless because what the hell is simple human without even a backpack supposed to do against a fully armed security officer with implant locked guns?

  • This place will never be used or seen by anyone other than those handful of people who got selected for ESOs. As if anyone will ever be sent there anyway.

If the ESO thing becomes less OP etc and becomes slightly more open to the extent that there is a good group of people who will be on the station for a much wider time frame than just a few rounds a day I see that this could work well.

  • what vanellope said. it’d be cool if there was a shuttle to the left of the perma brig, which has a console that is only accessable by Warden and/or HoS’s ID only (Captain’s too busy actually doing his job instead of going to the prison station) and HoS and/or warden can authorize the deportation of perma brigged prisoners, so they’re more useful and/or don’t have such a shit time in perma brig.

most eso, from what i know, just grab gear and lel run off

and vanel, that sub machine gun is the stun rifle, which is unique to ESO only.

  • You can use exile implants if you want to get rid of someone for good.

  • but then you get sent to shitty beach.

its even worse then perma brig, since you get this wave splashing noise which never gets removed, even if you somehow get back to the station unless you exit out of the game then go back, which is dumb

  • If you get exile implanted, you can’t get back.

I agree, ESO should keep their current station and have this as an alternative permabrig. (it would be a lot better too, since usually when I get permabrigged i just suicide)

  • Why would you suicide? It’s easy to break out of permabrig without anything that isn’t already there.

  • @Talha:

Why would you suicide? It’s easy to break out of permabrig without anything that isn’t already there.

I meant when they toggle the blast doors, I probably should have said that.

  • …Am I the only one that actually likes that station?

  • I like the station but I think its not needed that it has so much detail. I mean since you already completed it you should put it in, but so little people have ESO it isn’t really worth it. Looks nice though.

  • I agree with the notion of this replacing permabrig. Permabrig currently is really boring.

  • Then don’t get permabrigged.

  • You can’t really prevent it all the time. Some security is just very bad and will permabrig if someone accuses you of a crime.

  • Then break out. All you need is a pen and the sink.
