YeOldeNazi - exploiting map

    YeOldeNazi exploited a zs_obj_dump door trigger. Knowing that it would close eventually, YeOldeNazi stood there to keep it open for zombies to get through. What was supposed to happen was that humans would receive a short break from the zombies to proceed to the next area; however, with this door exploit (as the mapper did not give the door any dmg variable/other way to prevent blockage), zombies were able to enter through and kill several humans, including Sun, who had an adonis. he stood there saying “get going,” ushering in zombies to eat humans. I have a demo of the incident but all it shows is him running away from the door location.

  • That was it’s intention, but disallowing crush damage was a really bad mistake on the mapper’s part. This is considering a majority of maps do have these kinds of closing doors as an important part of gameplay, where players who understand how the doors work will intentionally act as a jack to hold them open for as long as possible. I would get annoyed if a human or a nailed prop held it open, though.



  • I am aware of the problem and I will be making sure all of the metallic doors have blocking damage to them in v6.



  • Since there’s a whole bunch of admins on at the time, I’m guessing there’s not much wrong with this.

    I don’t think they would’ve noticed since the door that lets them in is partially out of view; I actually was outside of the main barricade at that time and saw the zombies bypassing the door firsthand.

    but I guess it’s okay since it’s all pufulet’s fault.
