Found out that the official Cinema gamemode can see videos just fine on either a local server or on a dedicated server. I don’t think anyone else on Windows 10 has this issue (SoloTredici and Box don’t) so I’m sorta wondering why MPTV can’t detect flash…
PROBLEM SOMEHOW RESOLVED
Maybe this problem has been addressed before, but I’ve scrolled down a bit and don’t see anything on it.
Here’s a video for reference what I’m experiencing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEBqfy_4FH8
Things to note in the video:
Models flip the fuck out every once in a while (0:03 and 0:50)
Running animation is really choppy (look at my hands as I’m holding the popcorn in the first part of the video)
Costumes trail behind the player like crazy (look whenever I’m running)
My camera moves fine while the animations of my character are still choppy standing still (0:26)
The thrown can travels at about 3-5 frames per second as it falls into the pit (0:17)
The animation of my character becomes fluid again only after I die (0:43)
This only happens in MPTV. ZS and other Nox servers are fine.
IIRC there was a server relocation from Chicago to Canada, and the animation fuckery started happening around that time.
I really enjoy going on MPTV with a few friends sometimes but with this issue it’s sort of hard to enjoy. There’s probably a simple solution that I’m too stupid to see but I’m no techie. Can anyone help me out here?
twitch hasn’t been compatible for quite some time, could a fix/remove be assessed for the content menu? It still lists twitch as one of the available content providers you can use.[/s]
Cinema / MPTV
Updated from v2 to v3 API for YouTube and Twitch. Both should have no issues playing properly. Additionally, the new twitch api comes with the ability to set the start time of a video. The result is that I no longer need to use the awkward hacky method of controlling your mouse to fast forward twitch videos.
I’ve got so many videos in so many playlists. Check however many videos you wish.
Pretty much a third of the time I’ve been on Nox, it’s been in MPTV chilling with people listening to music and shit.
google chrome comes with flash player by default.
Try updating GPU Drivers - http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
Update Flash for other browsers - http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
Disable Hardware acceleration - open up steam overlay/Firefox/other browser, play a youtube video, right click it, options, untick “Enable hardware acceleration”.
Recently I’ve had trouble joining the server. The progress bar gets to “sending client info”, stays there a bit as usual, then the game crashes to desktop with no error message. It doesn’t happen 100% of the time, but it does happen most times I try to join. I haven’t had any trouble joining other servers, including the Noxious ZS server. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
