A higher bitrate is pretty much the only way to make it look as good as possible, as well as streaming at native monitor res. but you mentioned that already so it may just be you’re dropping packets, thought 99% of streams I watch look pretty much like that so you may just have to deal with it…sorry I can’t be more helpful dude…
Best of luck!! (only the text looks slightly poor don’t worry about it so much c: )
It’s pretty good in terms of performance, but it did affect upload a fair bit…There are hardly any settings to fine tune it and you can only show footage from a full-screen game, but i’m sure that will change. OBS is better at everything besides in-game performance, and it’s still not bad.
It might be more exciting if you were streaming matches against competent players. I eventually wanted to put some kind of built-in league support but decided against it. I figured no one would really use it and forcing it instead of letting it happen is stupid.
If you want to get better at Dota, play a hard support (and do it properly). It lets you take a step back and observe how the match plays out without worrying about getting items. Over time you will learn map awareness, proper ward usage, how to set up ganks, and how to play as a team. Since your team isn’t relying on you to get items, your screwups are low impact. Stick to these heroes: omniknight, treant protector, vengeful spirit, crystal maiden, lina, jakiro, keeper of the light, lich, lion, witch doctor, warlock, dazzle, ancient apparition, shadow demon. None of these heroes need items to be useful.
It’s all about being passive and watching your teammates kick-ass.
LSD: Dream Emulator, it’s a random fucked up japanese game that can make you laugh or cry or both.
also apparently playing in the dark enhances your experience.
Well, since I’m in a fresh start of streaming games and such… I made this thread to keep track of the streams I’ve made.
You can suggest, comment, add, whatever goes in your mind for my streams. So for now you might see “random streams” (test streams, in nicer words) with games that doesn’t come out of this list or might come to this list. A completed stream can count when the whole game is beaten (most likely with an added debuff).
I can do the “shot/drink/slurp if you die” handicap/challenge or any shit that involves dying/losing x times do y thing. (Once, I’m fully legal for drinking age. This will be in a few months.)
Games that I streamed
None as for now.
Games that are currently streaming
1000 Best Games for Windows, via Windows Virtual PC 2007 (Windows 95) (PC, 1998) - I swear to god, are all of the 1000 games actually good?!?. 970 left to go!
Games that I will stream
Point Blank (1999) - Pretty much a japanese crazy shoot-em-up kinda thing.
Time Crisis (199*) - Found the “weakspot” of the helicopter, can’t believe that the rom is bugged.
Smash TV (199*) - Really fun game, can make a stream with a challange as well.
Nocturnal Emmision - (PC, 2001) - A really really absurd, playless and overly hard game… Can be made with the “slurp when you die” challenge.
The Walmart SUV Challenge - (PC, 2001) - This game is completely absurd and hard as shit, levels become more harder with drunken ai drivers. Same challenge with Nocturnal Emmision.
Explodin’ Crapola: Helicopter Cacophony 2 - (PC, 2003) - This is the most interesting game I’ve played. Explode shit with building and such, while doing missions. (Until a given mission says not to destroy buildings.)
Ore no Ryomi - (PC, 2003) - It’s an Ore no Ryouri spoof, can stream it with all menu, advertising 150%, all master challenges.
Shellblast - (PC, 2008) - None
The Oil Blue - (PC, 2011) - None
Spirits of Metropolis - (PC, 2010) - None
and the list is currently in the making, more games will be added later.
I can add other OTHER games (Nintendo 64, PSX, etc.), but for now, I want to play user-created games/arcade games.
